Feast day: June 2
Saint Pothinus was the bishop of Lyons, France. When he was at the advanced age of 90 years old, he and his Christian companions were detained by an angry mob and brought to the magistrate for trial based on their faith. Saint Pothinus and his fellows were condemned to death. He passed on to his heavenly reward in prison, where he had been experiencing many brutalities.
