Saint Wulfric (1080–1154)

Saint Wulfric (1080–1154)

Feast day: February 20

Saint Wulfric was an ordained priest but continued to live a life that was dominated by parties with neighboring nobles and hunting excursions. After a chance meeting with a humble beggar, Wulfric realized the error of his ways and was determined to live a more holy life. He became a hermit and was known for his miracles and prophecies. He acted as counselor to Kings Henry I and Stephen, copied and bound books, and created items to be used in Mass.
